Tenerife, also known as the "miniature continent" is 90km long, about 50km wide and reaches up to 3.718m in altitude. It exhibits a vast variety of landscapes, culture, folklore over 100 beaches, pittoresque old mountain villages and modern attractions. With your own rented car you can reach all these points of interest that are not frequented by the touristic busses.

Using your own car you are the master of your time and may see Masca late in the afternoon when all the busses have already left and the village is at its most admirable. Loro Parque is another location where beeing very early (before 10:30) or pretty late (after 3:00 PM) makes a big difference due to the multitude of spectators there daily

The Teide plateau in the late afternoon sun, just short of sunset is another incredible scene that you will be deprived of if you do not have access to a rented car.
